project proposal #1

1. What type of photography did you pick to do for your project? Explain what it is.

The type of photography that I picked was rainbow lighting. What rainbow lighting is, you use a flash light to reflect off of objects to give you a rainbow effect onto your subject. People think that its images of actual rainbows, but its not that. Its a rainbow lighting effect either coming from a CD or anything shinny.

2. How are you going to shoot the images for this project? Explain.

The way I'm going to take these pictures is by setting everything up in my bedroom. I'm going to need a white backdrop just in case i don't like how my rooms background looks. A tripod is very important so my images are leveled and i won't have to be holding the camera myself. I mainly want face shots of my model, but i don't want to make repetitive images. I'm planning on getting nice objects that will make a certain theme and add the lighting to them as well. I also have ideas of just body shots, not showing the face at all. I also want a female model and a male model so i can have variety

3. Is there any thing specific that you need to have for your images? Explain (model, location, certain time of day, ect....).

I have a specific model. My bestfriend Daisy will be helping me with the project. Since we're always together its gonna be simple for me to use her as my model. I want to take picture when the sun is setting because it will give me better lighting and it won't be so bright outside. I can also shoot when its dark outside. both will work for me but anytime earlier than 6 will not work at all. I want to shoot pictures outside and have a natural background like a pretty bush or something simple. Im not sure if its going to work outside but its worth a shot.

4. Where are you going to shoot these images? Explain.

My room is gonna be the main place where I'm going to get most of my pictures. I like how my room looks and at night it gets very dark. I have a lot of space to move around so its a good spot for me. I can manage to get different angles since i have space. I also haven't had time to leave my house so its gonna be easy for me and not go out somewhere because lately i haven't been in the mood for that. I also have a park in mind, if my room doesn't work out the park will be my plan B. Where Daisy lives theres a small park that has a big grass field and bushes everywhere. Theres never any people there either so nobody will be photobombing my images and thats a good thing.

5. Why did you want to try doing this type of photography for this project? Explain.

last year i saw a picture with rainbow lighting and i really liked it. I tried taking pictures last year but they actually came out horrible. I didnt have the right lighting and my pictures were way too bright. I also never came to school so when i tried doing it as a project it didnt come as planned. I want to do it again this year so that i can prove myself wrong and actually get good pictures. I'm not proud of last year and i know i can do so much better, i have more motivation now and hopefully i do so much better than what i did last year.

PROJECT PROPOSAL#2

1. what type of photography did you pick to do for your project? explain what it is.

My theme for this project is going to be my personal adventures. This project does not have a specific type of photography. There will be landscapes, maybe even portraits of my friends depending on what we are doing that day. It is more of a documentary of cool things I've seen and done. I like nature a lot and events going around in new mexico, i want to capture those moments to have a memory.

2. How are you going to shoot the images for this project? Explain.

I will carry my camera with me everywhere I go. Whenever we stop somewhere and i think its a nice spot i will start shooting pictures of whatever object I'm looking at. I know i will be going to specific places so i will be taking pictures there for sure. I will not use a tripod or other equipment other than my camera. The only important thing will be finding good angles and pretty areas.

3. is there anything specific that you need to have for your images? Explain (model, location, certain time of day, etc)

I don't need anything specific. The locations will be mainly outside i doubt i will shoot anything inside a place. My models will be my friends, strangers, or my dog. I mainly want to take pictures in the day, but if its at night and i still manage to get good images ill do it. I will be shooting images at the balloon fiesta and the sandia mountains.

4. Where are you going to shoot these images? Explain.

I will shoot these images outside. I will be going to the Mountains, on an airplane, balloon fiesta and anywhere else i decide to go with my friends. We go out a lot and we're always going to new places on our free time. I would also love to go to meow wolf but I'm not sure if we're going to get a chance to go. The pumpkin patch will be a must to go, I'm excited to shoot pictures there so I'm hoping we really go this year.

5. why did you want to try doing this type of photography for this project? explain

The reason why i wanted to do this project was because i didnt want to stick to one specific theme. I wanted to do like a random photoshoot of just random things. I want to document my adventures with my friends and just have memories of places ive been too. I was going to look for a different style of photography but then I got the idea of doing this. I wasn't sure if i was able to do it, but now i can and I'm extremely excited for this.

PROJECT PROPOSAL #3

1. what type of photography did you pick to do for your project? explain what it is.

For this project i will be shooting portraits and also different types of objects. I want to have a book theme and what i mean by that is that i want the covers of a book to be my background. Im not sure what i would call this type of photography but I'm hoping that it comes out really nice. It might not be what I'm expecting but its worth a shot. I've been wanting to do something with books for a while now.

2. How are you going to shoot the images for this project? Explain.

The way I'm going to shoot these images is with my camera and a tripod. I was thinking of even getting lights to give my model a good lighting, but I'm still not sure about that. For sure i will have fairy lights to give my image more of an interesting look. For the background I am going to find  a big chapter book and i will tare out the pages carefully so that i can either tape them on the wall or the ground depending on what i want to shoot. Once i have everything set up hopefully it turns out to how I'm expecting it to.

3. Is there anything specific that you need to have for your images? Explain ( model, location, certain time of day etc)

The only specific thing i need is the pages from the book. The whole point of this project is that background. For my models I'm not getting picky whoever is willing to be my model will be it. I do want to shoot one time in the day and another time at night. The reason why i want to try out both time of the days is so that at night i can use the lights. I don't have much practice with lighting so its gonna take me a good while to figure it out. I will have to do this project on a weekend so that i won't be rushed the entire time.

4. where are you going to shoot these images? Explain

I will be shooting my images inside my room. This project is not meant to be taken outside, although i love taking pictures outside. I also want to take them inside because when i use the lights i need to be inside a really dark room. The weather is also freezing so there is no way I'm taking pictures outside. My room is a good area because i can make a lot of space and I'm going to take the book pages on the wall.

5. Why did you want to try doing this type of photography for this project? explain

I wanted to try this kinda of photography because when i looked at it i thought it was so pretty. I want to try new ideas of my own and get outside of my comfort zone. I always like to shoot landscapes and things that are located outside. Im not really good at taking portraits and i need to get into the habit of doing that. I get frustrated and i hate telling others how to pose. I know i need to improve on that so that is the reason i want to do this project. I want to get better at taking pictures of people and learning how to find the good lighting.
