PHOTO I

In all honesty, i hated photo I. looking at my pictures makes me hate it even more. They just look so basic and I think I tried too hard in getting different angles but I just didn't use them right. My pictures are not even edited and I realized how I failed at thinking that editing wasn't necessary. Even the smallest edit can make a difference but I thought I was too cool for that. When i got here i thought we were always going to be taking pictures and doing fun things. The research projects were a pain in the butt. I did learn the basics though, how to work the camera, angles, and how to set lights up. It was hard and frustrating. I always thought you were so mean to us and yelled 24/7. I didn't want to take photo II my junior year, but I decided to give it a shot and try it out.

Taking photo II was a much better experience. The first semester really helped me learn how to mess around with the camera settings. Looking at these images my editing got a little better than the ones from photo I. I like how I added different objects with my models, rather than just having a model. I started to think more outside the box. Back then I just thought that having a model was enough and I realized that I had growth In that part. I could of done better with my forced perspective images if I but more thought into them, like the one with the sunflower, I really wish I would of made my model wear a ballerina dress.

My last few images from photo II have been my best images I've shot. Even yet I think theres some things I could have done differently. I know for a fact I improved in the way I posed my models. Each year I seem to get more creative and try to stick to a theme. I learned how to work the camera with the lights a lot better. I use to not move my iOS or anything, I thought that just moving the lights around and getting the perfect spot would be it. Until I started to play around with the camera and thats when I figured that moving the setting also affected my lighting. Editing seems to be more of a priority now and im glad because I've gotten a little better. I'm still not the best at it and I know I need a lot more practice there still.
